Volunteers are the lifeblood of any event. Without them, courses would not get marked and water would not get poured. We wish to thank everyone that has assisted us with our races over the years. Your efforts have made our races possible.
As a race participant, it is at times easy to find fault with the way that a volunteer handed you water at an aid station or grabbed your tear tag too soon after you crossed the finish line. Instead of a complaint though, a "thank you" is really the order of the day. I suggest that everyone that participates in an endurance event should, at least once, serve as a volunteer for a race. It will give you a different perspective.
Also, if not participating, there is no better way to be a part of an event than to be a volunteer. It makes you part of the action and, at times, gives you a front row seat. If you would like to volunteer for any of our events, please contact us at contact@palmettorace.com.
